DeustoTech

DeustoTech Learning (DTL-2010) is a recently created research group whose objective is the research, development and innovation in information and communication technology (ICT) for learning in different environments and contexts of use. DTL gathers experience and knowledge of professionals with more than 20 years of research activities. It focuses on:

• Technology enhanced learning. Innovative use of ICT in face-to-face and virtual learning, usability and accessibility of educational content and applications, guidelines for the design of educational technology, integration of audiovisual and multimedia in education, evaluation and quality assessment of learning technology.
• Remote laboratories. Incorporate remote laboratories in game-based environments and Learning Management Systems, ease the access to remote laboratories, use and implement remote laboratories in teaching and learning by academic community, increase their didactic role, and bring them closer to society.
• Game-based Learning. Investigate experience model in games and virtual simulations, design and develop education games according to academic criteria and contemporary gaming design theories, explore game as power-performance learning in classroom.
• Cognitive experimentation. Improve methodological aspects of cognitive experimentation through Internet, research about psychological aspects when using technology, critical thinking.
• Outreach. Transfer and diffusion of science, technology and knowledge generated in our research activity to reach and benefit the whole society.
