DeustoTech

The DeustoTech-INTERNET unit is embodied by the earlier created MoreLab research group, belonging to the DeustoTech - Deusto Institute of Technology at the Faculty of Engineering of the University of Deusto.

The mantra of the DeustoTech - INTERNET unit is User-centred Intelligent Services for Anything, Anywhere at Anytime. We aim to contribute with ICT innovations and basic and applied research towards improving users' quality of life through more intelligent and personalised environments and services. In our view, such environments may often be constituted by ecosystems of network-connected physical objects collaborating towards satisfying end-user needs.

DeustoTech - INTERNET is actually subdivided into the INTERNET1 and INTERNET2 sub-units. The main difference among them is that whilst for INTERNET1 it is core to create new devices, experiment with new hardware and communication prototypes, INTERNET2 is focused on software and the role that middleware plays to integrate and to make already existing off-the-shelf devices (sensors and actuators) interoperable in a smart manner.
