DeustoTech has been created with the mission of conducting basic and applied research in computer science and information technologies, addressing technology transfer and support to companies, and fostering training and education excellence.
There are currently near 100 people working in DeustoTech including professors of the Faculty of Engineering, PhD students, post-doc researchers, senior researchers, and technicians.
DeustoTech is located at the Faculty of Engineering of University of Deusto in the first and second floors of ESIDE Building with state-of-art facilities for ICT research.
DeustoTech, formerly known as Tecnológico Fundación Deusto, was created in 2005 as an initiative of the University of Deusto to boost the research that was carried out in the Faculty of Engineering. Since its launching, DeustoTech has executed over 100 research and innovation projects, establishing collaborations with over 50 companies and 40 research groups worldwide. After these initial years, DeustoTech is facing new challenges in the framework of a new strategic plan that extends from 2011 to 2014.
